yeh but winxp setup doesnt completely delete everything ever doe it? I m thinking of trying nuke and boot, is that the same as powermax?

Will powermax be ok to completely destroy all info on my hard drive? What I plan to do is use powermax for my maxtor hard dirve, thne once it has deleted and overwritten all info, then use to max balst to configure it. Is that necessary or will powermax do that all anyway. Also maxblast is just...

Im trying to completely wipe the dirve, basically going beyond a format and doesnt powermax have that ability that max blast doesnt? Doesnt max blast just do a nromal format like an xp boot disk?

ok cool but I want to use dban, and I cannot figure out how to use it. I have burned to Cd and created a cdrom boot disk using Nero but it just dont ork, can I execute in WINDOWS LIKE ANY NORMAL PROGRAM, just download it and click on the items on the desktop? Or Do I have to use it on startup?
