Is this really a USB2 to Ethernet converter in disguise?

On the Linksys web site it says : "The Network Storage Link can also be set up so that your storage devices are accessible from the Internet -- files can be easily downloaded via your web browser. Your files can be available publicly, or create password-protected accounts for authorized...

Is this really a USB2 to Ethernet converter in disguise?

I was thinking of buying this product: Linksys USB 2.0 Network Storage Link which will allow me to connect my Maxtor One Touch 200Gb external harddisk via USB2 to my Wireless Modem/Gateway via the above box. Is the above product just a fancy looking USB2 to Ethernet converter and nothing...

Hi, I've purchased ISOBuster and it have managed to recover all the files. It worked out that the disk was in UDF format. The only problem is it has not preserved any of the file names or directory structure, so effectively I have to wade through all the files manually. Is there a way to get...

AssyrianKing, I tried that on the original machine which burnt it but to no avail. The finalise CD option in Roxio Easy CD Writer 5 was greyed out. I am going to try the above mentioned ISOBuster and see what that does. Hmmm....

I have a Clevo 888E note book (link to clevo web site). I recently upgraded this laptop with Windows XP Service Pack 2. Installation was successful. Everything worked apart from the laptops internal CDRW which now refuses to work. Looking at hardware manager I can see the CDRW has a yellow...

I have a Epson Photostylus 830U printer which has two USB sockets on it. I also have a rather nice new USN bluetooth dongle which I use on my laptop to sync with my T68i. I want to know how to network my bluetooth dongle to my printer so I can print without wires. I was considering buying...

    Rocket RAID 133

It all seems rather obvious when someone in the know explains it to you properly. DOH! :-) Thanks for the advise. I formatted the new RAID array through XP Disk Management and after that was done the drive was visible. I've deleted the RAID and re-created is with a block size of 256Kb which...

    Rocket RAID 133

Well during installation I only fdisk'ed drive C: which my primary boot drive which XP boots off. The other two drives did a "quick format" on during the XP disk manager. But hmmm, I will go in to XP's disk manager again tonight and check if the drives are seen and formatted correctly. The...

    Rocket RAID 133

I recently purchased a Rocket RAID 133 card for my PC. Installation was a breeze, I followed the set up manual to the T and used to the RAID BIOS setup program to "create" my RAID 0 array and initialise it. The software reported everything was good and the RAID 0 array was created. I then...

What hard disk should I buy? Old system

Good point about the 30Gb limit, which I was aware of. The IDE conrtroller card I was going to pruchase was going to have it's own onboard BIOS which I believe gets around the storage limitation of my onboard IDE conroller.
