You can change your cd-key to a non-blacklisted one and then go about downloading xp just fine... I found out how to do this over at http://www.tweaktown.com not sure if they've been taken down or anything yet.... kash'

Heh, Thanks everyone. I didnt expect to get such quick replies! I guess it really just depends on the person, everybody seems to have different experiences with each brand of cd-rw... I'm wary of lite-on/LG just because they have at times gone bad... but on the flip side the yamaha or plextor...

AHhh, I see. Does that upgrade decrease quality of the burns or anything? How does the quality of the burns on the liteons compare to the LG or the plextor? I know there are some things different burners can/cannot do, but I'm not sure what.. (??) kash

Hi all, My cd-rom went kaput just recently and so I planned on getting a new cdr/rw. It seems as though everybody is recommending to get lite on cdr/rw and flashing it with a plextor?? The problem I have with lite-on's is that I've purchased 2 of their cd roms and they have died within about a...
