    Is my video card bad?

I just put together a new system (Q6600, P35-DS3P) using an MSI Radeon 2600 PRO card with dual DVI, and there's an odd flickering going on with my secondary LCD. My primary LCD is a Samsung 215TW, connected via DVI. Secondary LCD is a Samsung 770TFT, which is analog-only, so it's connected...

Why is my new WD 320GB SATA 8MB so slow?

Not sure about the transfer rate, but for the WD quick test error - have you checked to see if you have S.M.A.R.T. enabled on the hd and in the BIOS? I was having that same problem when I first got my 3200JB. Looking up the error code that was given on WD's support site pointed me to S.M.A.R.T...

    WD 320GB SATA 8MB Cache 7200RPM (WD3200JD) $140.00 free shipping

From what I've gathered at SPCR, the 320GB series was when WD introduced their new FDB drives, which was eventually migrated across all their drives. There shouldn't be any 320GB drives that have the older ball bearings.

    WD 320GB SATA 8MB Cache 7200RPM (WD3200JD) $140.00 free shipping

Does this hard drive have a regular molex power connector? Or would I need to get an adapter?

Zalman FB123 : Anyone ever use this to blow air down on their video cards?

I used the FB123 for a couple of years to cool a Radeon 8500 whose fan I had unplugged. Worked fine for me, and I know of others who have done something similar as well. Main thing you have to watch out for is the size of the other PCI cards that you might have in your PC. I had to get rid of...

HOT! Sennheiser HD555 $99 @ newegg, free ship

That's a fantastic price on a great set of headphones. I paid $114 for mine off of Ebay. Re: 120ohm - That's the old Senn spec. When the HD5x5 series first came out, they were 120ohm models. However, since then Sennheiser has updated the line to be 50ohm. People over at Head-Fi who have...

Shure isolating E2C Earphones 64.99 Free Shipping

These probably aren't a good idea for running as you will hear the pounding of your feet and heart with these in your ears. Their impedance is only 16ohm, so they are very easy to drive and should have no problems being powered a thumbdrive player. BTW, for replacement foamies, the cheapest...

    Sennheiser HD 280 headphones 99.99

I'll second that. Recently got the A500s, and they are absolutely fantastic. Tremendous clarity, great soundstage, and smooth, tight bass. Most comfortable set of over-the-head cans I've ever used as well. And yes, they are indeed closed, although they don't provide much isolation. The other...

    mp3 player help

The battery indicator on the Carbon isn't that accurate. I ran a battery test on mine this weekend and I was able to get 19+ hours before I stopped because I didn't want to run the battery completely down. The battery meter drops steadily until there are about 2 or 3 bars left where it then...

R8500 Retail, if I don't game, can I unplug the fan?

There have been quite a few people over at SPCR that have run their 8500 fanless without any problems. I unplugged mine and used this Zalman fan bracket to mount an 80mm Panaflo L1A to blow some air across it since I do play some CS here and there. If your case has good airflow, you...

    MX1000 Question?

Someone over in the massive 3dgpu post on the MX-1000 said that it worked with the base charger of the MX-700, but I don't recall if he said that you were able to mouse with it using the MX-700's receiver (I think he said that worked too though). In MaxPC's review of the MX-1000, they...

    mp3 player help

I just bought the Rio Carbon yesterday, and I'm loving it so far. I debated long and hard between the Carbon and the 4G iPod. While I love the iPod's design and elegance, the Carbon just had the features that I really wanted (battery life, size, drag n drop music, use of standard mini USB...
