The X1 uses the 800x600 DLP chip while the Samsung DLP is 1280x720. All front projectors that use the 1280x720 DLP chip are much more expensive than these DLP rear projection TVs.

There is nothing to indicate that these aren't the full versions, which make this a great deal. But then again this is Tigerdirect so proceed with caution.
