Info from Amazon:

Ruby is our new Apparel and Accessories store with over 400 major
clothing brands (including Gap, Old Navy, Nordstrom, Lands' End,
Target, Eddie Bauer, Foot Locker, and many more). Our goal is to
provide complete apparel selection and offer it the Amazon way--with
easy navigation, a single shopping cart, your ordering and payment
information already on file, etc. Of course, none of this would be
possible without our many apparel store partners (we're thankful to
have such an amazing group of companies working with us).

The site is fully functional, and we hope you'll try it (you'll get a
$30 promotional certificate when you spend $50 or more in the new
Apparel store--see details below. Here is the special URL:

I (re)read the rules and fail to see what you are referring to. Unless you are referring to yourself and thread-crapping? Well I just broke the rules be not discussing the deal.

The site is incredibly slow...

Amazon.com Timeout
Something about your request to Amazon.com caused our server to take a long time ... longer than we would like. So, we automatically stopped the program. Please try again.

Nice detailed error message there.

alchemize - Hehe I LOVE the quote feature, I see that bonk102 has since then edited their message.

How exactly did this thread break any forum rules?

Looking at picking up some new Timberlands if the prices aren't outrageous. So far I have found out that at least Timberlands come up in a search, but I can't get to the list of results. Argggh!

yeah, I tried checking it out earlier, but the site's slow as hell overall, or it just doesn't load at all. Like the mens section.

Oh well, I'm sure it'll be nice once it works...

You know, I'm really an evil person.

I'm just conspiring how I can buy my wife $50 in X-mas presents solely for the reason I can get a $30 Amazon.com GC so I can stealthily take part in some future amazon deal.

I'm going to hell :( But I'll have lots of good deals on the way!

Has anyone received their GC yet? If so how long did it take for you to get the GC? I already received my order that I placed with them so I was just wondering how long it took. Thanks

Just got my order. Couple of sweaters from Eddie Bauer. Very nice! I doubt the GC will come anytime soon though.

Based on this:
4. If you do not return the product or cancel the order, we will e-mail you (at the e-mail address you have specified in your account) a promotional code approximately four to six weeks from the date of the purchase. This code will be redeemable for $30 off your next purchase of products sold by Amazon.com in any of our stores except Apparel & Accessories.
It will likely be sometime in December when the GC's show.

I am pretty sure it will be the full 6 weeks they allow. Maybe 4 weeks since your order was placed if you are lucky. I don't think they will get these to us before Christmas but here's to hoping! :D

Does anybody know what the return policies are for the items bought through a store that has a B&M nearby? Like say I get something from Marshall Fields or Nordstrom, but the size isn't right, could I return it at a local B&M, or would it have to go back through Amazon?

That's my only concern right now, since pants are always dangerous to buy online :)
