Thanks Schnieds! That is comforting to know ppl with similar configurations are getting similar temperatures. My rig is also stable. Last night I ran CPU Burn In for 20 minutes, and my temp was at 52C constantly.

Well I also get crazy temperatures reading in Digidoc when I run it along with PC Wizard.

BTW, I am using the latest beta bios of 5/07/04. So I guess 42C to 53C is not that high. However, in my friend's rig, who has the ditto configuration, but has a cheap Speeze Aluminium HSF(instead of TT silent boost K8), is getting a 3-4 lower degrees temparature. Thanks guys!

Try putting the drives with CSEL setting.

That worked. I chose SCSI device as first boot drive for my SATA drive. Now it does not try to boot from the IDE drive. Many Thanks!!

Thanks for a quick reply. Yes it was a boot drive in the other pc. I will re-install the drive on my old pc. And try to backup some of the information on it. I do not want to format the drive. Is there an alternate way without removing the boot partition ? My other hardrdive is a single 160gb...

I am not able to add maxtor 200 GB drive (ata 133 ide) drive. When I attach the drive win XP does not boot and it reboots again. And this goes on.. In bios, drive shows up correctly. I tried: - attaching to as master/CSEL to Primary IDE controlller. - As slave drive (master CDROM) - On...
