The default setting for the chip on the motherboard is for it to run at 1.05 GHz--which, of course, isn't right. It should be 1.4. But when I go into the BIOS and change the CPU clock from 100 to 133 to boost it to 1.4 GHz, Windows loads sloooooow. It rans fairly normally after that, though...
Does anybody know if the 1.1 version BIOS will support the 1600+ XP processor? Or do I need the latest BIOS update? I'm building the system, but I don't have any earlier Athlons that I can plug in to upgrade it. I suppose I can run it down to a computer shop and borrow one real quick if...

Whenever I kick my buss speed up to 133MHz, the system won't even go through POST any more. I can't even get into the BIOS to change it back, but I can after waiting 45 minutes to an hour. Shouldn't the bus run just fine at 133 MHz? I'm fairly sure my RAM is PC-133. Thanks in advance!
