That's kind of strange. I was thinking the same think as RussianSensation since I have a B0 stepping that is literally a couple hundred chips earlier in the same exact batch as the first run of G0s. I would think if they are going to change a layout it would not be in the same batch.
I didn't see the stupid disclaimer buried down on the CPU page that said they would not accept returns and would void the mfg warranty if you don't buy a CPU cooler on the same receipt. Their CS rep is assuring me that it is actually covered from defects, but I don't know if I believe him...
I guess that might be mis-phrased. I am questioning its ability to properly cool the cpu (possibly with some light overclocking) or at least to do a better job than the stock HSF. If it can't then I will have to upgrade to something better.
I thought this was a decent cooler and ordered it for the new machine that I am building (Q6600 based) and it looks like I may have made a mistake.
Here is the machine, what would you guys do for a CPU cooler.

It deleted my memory...thanks for noticing that. Also, I just figured I would let them ship the video card tomorrow when it is due back in stock
Yeah, you caught me editing it (the two cases) I found the black one has a big mail in rebate.
Once Newegg decides what they are going to do with the Q6600 I was going to pull the trigger on this system. Would you change anything?
