Need a laptop for CAD (willing to buy used)

Then how about something with a dual-core Intel processor, but still with dedicated graphics and a resolution bigger than 1366x768?

Need a laptop for CAD (willing to buy used)

Let's cut to the chase...here's what I absolutely need: Display resolution bigger than 1366x768 Dedicated graphics card (preferrably nVidia GTm of some sort) A quad-core processor (i5 or i7) Within $1000 Everything else is icing on the cake (I've got spare Samsung RAM amounting to...

HELP! Intel X-25M 160 GB not working!

Well, it sure as hell isn't the laptop's problem, as I had just connected the original SATA drive that came with it back into it, and I'm working from it right now. It's kinda funny how my 10-15 year-old IDE drives, and my 5-8 year-old SATA drives still work just fine (well, almost fine, as one...

HELP! Intel X-25M 160 GB not working!

Either way, I assume that any data in the drive would no longer be accessible? I'll see if I find the USB with PartedMagic in it...

HELP! Intel X-25M 160 GB not working!

I had it installed in my laptop. A few hours ago I closed the lid on my laptop, but I noticed that it wasn't going into sleep mode (which it usually does, since I've set it up as such). I opened the lid again, and found out that even though the laptop was running nothing was coming up on the...

    Mouse with onboard memory?

Thanks for the bit on the Steelseries mice. What exactly was so bad about their software? And I'd rather not go for something wireless. Not a fan of spending fortunes on batteries, and I'm a forgetful person so I may forget to charge it up when not in use.

    Mouse with onboard memory?

So...not a single useful post, PLUS an attitude? Welcome to my ignore list, troll. I think most of the Logitech gaming mice have onboard memory as well. So I'm thinking of getting either a Steelseries Cataclysm, or a Logitech G600.

    Mouse with onboard memory?

I understand that you're trying to help, and I appreciate that; but please don't go about spreading misinformation like this. I got to try out my n52te on a computer without any Belkin/Razer drivers, and all the macros work just fine. I imagine a mouse with onboard memory would be able to...

    Mouse with onboard memory?

A Naga Hex was the first thing I thought of as well, but I'm hearing conflicting reports on whether it has onboard memory or not. But I think a Lachesis may be more appropriate. Or maybe a Logitech G600. Also, anyone know if the Steelseries stuff have onboard memory? Or the Mad Catz Cyborg RAT?

    Mouse with onboard memory?

Hey all. I need a mouse with atleast 3 regular buttons + scroll wheel + 2 additional buttons....WITH onboard memory I'm NOT a gamer; but I need the two additional buttons in order to program key combinations for Alias Automotive, so I can access the marking menus (Shift+Ctrl) and the...

Mixing RAM modules with different CAS timings?

My system is an i7 960, on an Asus P6X58-E Pro mobo.

Mixing RAM modules with different CAS timings?

Well, the Mushkin sticks are rated at 1.6V whereas the Corsair sticks are at 1.5V...so yea, they have different voltage ratings AND CAS timings.
