    Free note-taking software?

    I used to use OneNote, until I found KeyNote (http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/Keynote/keynote.html). It's free, simple, and powerful. It is no longer under development/supported, but I use it daily and have never had any problems.

    On my HP Pavilion laptop, it is extremely difficult to hit F2 at exactly the right time to get into bios. I discovered that hitting it repeatedly, very rapidly, for the 1-2 seconds before the logo appears almost always works for me. YMMV.
