As much as I wish I could offer any help, I will just say that mine is sitting in the box, waiting for us to move into our new house so I can set it all up.
It's hard sitting at home knowing that at my mom's house waiting for me to pick it up and assemble it all... AMD Tbird 1GHz, 19"...

FYI, machine is a Tbird 1GHz. I'm sure I'll be fine with EIDE.
I've heard the same of burning audio CD's above 8, they start to lose quality.
Bare drive still has a warranty of some sort... nonetheless, the warrantied one is $20 more. I shouldn't have to pay for that.:P
BTW, what do you mean by OP center? They're in California, if that's what yuo mean.
I ordered a whole crapload of stuff from them ($2250 worth) and my Plextor 12x SCSI bare drive and Keyboard are backordered...
Keyboard ETA - tomorrow
CD-RW ETA - next week. They've got non bare drives in stock, for the amount of money I spent, they could take a damn drive out of the box and...
I currently have an apple g3 with an adaptec APA-2940 PCI SCSI card in it. I've scoured Adaptecs site and want to know whether this card is the same as the AHA-2940 (meaning I'd be able to use it in my PC when it arrives).
Anyone have some insight, or a place to point me to find out?
