I would recommend xp myself, since it's got a nice interface (I see that as important) and user friendlier.
But my friend has w2003 and he claims that gaming is prodigiously smoother in that os than xp.
So, your choice =)
Quick update:
Today I shut down my comp again and again to test it... And the results: if Windows just loads all my start up programs and I do nothing more, then shut down, the power downs are all perfect. Seems like the trouble only occurs if the system's been on for quite a while.... and...
What would you like me to do with msconfig?
Yeah I tried to update my drivers already, and my comp isn't oc'ed at all. Do you think it's some software or hardware problem?

Yeah I have the newest BIOS already. And I haven't been messing around with msconfig at all. My problem doesn't seem to be related to any programs or anything, because it happens sometimes when I play games for hours or just surfing the web for 15 min. Yeah it happens...
I have a pretty newly built PC that occasionally would not power down. Windows would finish all its logging off, saving, and shut down stuff, the system would still remain on when the monitor turns off. This happens once every 5 times I use the computer... And I have not found any software...
Well, you don't necessarily have to reformat the whole hdd. But you do have to combine at least 2 partitions together into a bigger sector (at least so i think). You can easily do that using the windows xp cd.
Logisys is good?
I was planning to get that but stayed away because the ratings in newegg were pretty low for this product.
And I heard from several people that Logisys lights break quickly.
Should I still go for Logisys?
thanks for your recommendation. The light looks nice, but the 4 inche tubes are 15 bucks + 6 bucks shipping + tax is quite over what i intend to spend. Perhaps there is something cheaper?
