hey, im trying to get a blue uv light for my new system. i've looked in several sites, but there always seem be to people who commented that particular uv light broke in month or two.

i am looking for a quality uv light that is preferably under or around 10 bucks.
And if possible, i want to purchase it from a retail store instead of online (hate that $5 shipping on a $10 product...)

Any recommendations?
thanks.

I have bought all of mine from Performance Pcs, and none of them have broke. I've had them all for several months now. The prices are good, and I'm sure the shipping isn't too bad, as they offer USPS if you so choose.

EDIT: Another reason I order from them is that they will cut the switch out, and solder it so that the light is always on. I hate having that extra back-plate thing over every light. I hooked up the lights to the on/off on the fan controllers instead. Worked very well.

thanks for your recommendation. The light looks nice, but the 4 inche tubes are 15 bucks + 6 bucks shipping + tax is quite over what i intend to spend. Perhaps there is something cheaper?

I have one of the Logisys 12" ones from Sidewinder. It has worked as expected for the four months I've had it and was pretty cheap.

The best light I've seen so far is the 15" Logisys UV lights. The have such a deep blue UV light that it looks like the light is barely on, but it illuminated UV reactive stuff a long way away. Very impressive.

Logisys is good?

I was planning to get that but stayed away because the ratings in newegg were pretty low for this product.

And I heard from several people that Logisys lights break quickly.

Should I still go for Logisys?

I've got one 15" across the top, and three more 12" UV lights in m system. I might be adding a few more. But I haven't had a problem with the Logisys at all...
