To dahbusdriver:
are those instructions for a unlocked chip or a locked one? I ask because my duron is a 750MHz locked and I am wondering if they could work for me.
I agree totally with afropick. take his very good advice and get another 20g 7200 rpm and use that for the raid and use the 40g to put all your apps, another OS.

I am running 98se but the problem came up with the 256 of Kingmax installed. That is why I went back to the 512 micron and the same problems. Used the microns on the CUSL2 for about three weeks and not once did that problem come up.better board?
For zippy:
If ACPI can give you "Soft Off" what is wrong with "Soft On"? Not every one need a "Hard On" esp if the box is under your desk.
If the BIOS is more like Abit's then they should really do something and make it more like ASUS and most others with a...
After spending a week with the Iwill KK266-R I have come to the conclusion that it may be stable but not really impressive. Here are a few gripes I have with the board:
Iwill could have done much better with the BIOS. Also there is no feature to turn on the puter with keyboard/mouse.
I have...
To Budman:
I know it looks like a DOWNGRADE but I took the steps for 2 reasons:
1 I wanted to mess around with a socket A board. OCing with Intel Celerons and P3s had gotten a little stale for me.
2 I choose a duron 750 beacuse in the OC guide from Anand it showed that the 750 duron or Athlon...

Do you know anything about overclocking? A board does not get to claim stability status if all it can do is be stable at stock speeds or FSBs. I would suggest that you perhaps read a few reviews about mainboards and stability. Also yes this board supports mulitplier and voltage...
As per Anand's Athlon/Duron OC guide L7 on the processor is used to change the voltage. Is my understanding right in that you only need to use L7 if your motherboard does not support voltage adjustment? My reason for asking is that my DURON 750 is locked at 1.6v and in the diagram in the review...
After reading with great eagerness most of the reviews concerning the Iwill's KK266-R I purchased one. Along with it I got a Duron 750 and 256Mb of KingMax PC-150 memory(2x128 sticks). It was my hope that even with out having the ability to unlock my CPU I would just try for a FSB boost...
use onboard. However there are reports that a problem might exist using intel ata drivers with the IBM drive. I think there is a patch available somewhre. Check ibm site.
I have a linksys router which was usually working with my Westell modem to provice my DSL service. Recently I noticed that I could not access the service with my current config. I called Verizon because when I connected the modem without the router I get a message about password. Verizon changed...
Doubt if you will find it for free unless it is on some cracked site. The last time I saw the game Jazz JackRabbit2 was selling for $4.99. I should think you can splurge for that.
