I had no idea about the thermal layer on the bottom of the retail AMD heatsink. There was no documentation I could get to so I scraped it off (dumb) and colored it..:)
oops! I bought a heatsink pen when I bought my first Cyrix p200+ and I just color it lightly like a crayon. I never used the stuff on pentiums/486/386s. I am still using that same pen (from Radio Shack) and used it on my Athlon 64 the other day.
They only support Quadro4 and FX! 66.xx Drivers don't support my Quadro 2 either.

You were correct Megatronic, I had to re-install without the repair option, and it works but the video performance is way too slow for me because Nvidia doesn't make drivers for my Quadro2 MXR video card for XP-64! I'll stick with Win 2k until I can get a supported video card.
I never got to logon for the 1st time. Don't know where it could have got a password from. I am running Win2k now. Guess I'll have to try to re-install it again. XP-64 that is.
