This is wacky, I've never seen drivers this touchy. I backed out my IDE drivers to the original "standard" drivers, to no avail. I swapped, like you said to try, and voila, we can read DVDs now...but, still issues with reading CDs. It will read the disc name now, but spins up real loud...
