I wonder how long this thread will survive. It's almost going to be sad to see it go. I was checking it like 50+ times a day during the peak periods of conroe craziness.
It makes me wonder if this was really a coincidence that they both flashed in like this. I bet there's a lot more collaboration than we imagine between all those supposedly competing major e-tailors.
ZZF also just got in stock a pretty sizeable quantity of DFI infinity 975X/G boards for people looking for a crossfire solution. Good price too, at $195 free shipping.
Interesting. What data are you referring to? And does this thing include paste? Cause this would be a convenient solution--the tuniq is impossible to find right now (at least for me).
And ya, Kwint is right that we should be a bit happier. But I don't think I'll really ease up until my...
Ya, I just swallowed my anger/prudence/self-loathing and did it too. This is certainly not the worst gouge around, and the company's got a great reseller ratings score. And a 1 year OEM warranty is not horrible, especially since you can put whatever cooling solution on it you like.
Anybody know anything about this alwayslowest.com place? Or even better, has anyone actually ordered a C2D from them? Their availability right now for the 6600 is listed as 3-6 days, and their price is not horrible (relative to the other crap out there, that is).
Ya, after the ZZF gouge fiasco last night (which sees me in a room filled with destroyed computer parts), my long ago pre-order at BLT is really my last hope. One guy I talked to there told me the same thing. But an email I got from them said that their ETAs in no way represent certainties, and...
For me at least the best bet at this point seems to be to just wait for ZZF to get their 6600 stock in. Their price is the same as buy.com, they're more reputable, there's no enormous pre-order queue and I would imagine that both stores will get the chips around the same time (given their...
I'm sure they're not delaying intentionally, especially since with their posted prices they would completely undercut newegg. I read a post from a guy a while back here that said that the first major batch of retail chips was small enought that it was only being divided among a few of the big...
yeah, it was a mistake that just happened to last for over 6 hours that persisted even after they fixed other incorrect details about the product and recieved probably thousands of irate emails and phone calls.
Not the worst mistake they could make, from a shaking down the consumer point of...
