same boat with FOBSIDE... first started with mandrake and kinda stuck with it. messin' around with gentoo and debian right now but still like mandrake better.

i dual booted my laptop with win2k and xp thinking that i might need win2k for any apps that didn't work well in xp. so far no problems, so i have not booted into win2k in a couple weeks. i really like the fact that xp boots so much faster than 2k and i actually find xp much more aesthetically...
whenever there is a change of versions (ie 98 -> NT or 98 -> XP) and/or filesystems, i always like to do a clean and fresh install... i have experienced frustrating and strange issues with drivers and apps if i don't. it will probably be more work initially but it will save you the headaches if...
