It's true that I don't have much room left in my second slot. If the VF900 is any thicker than the stock hsf then it probably won't fit...

Is it safe to do 1.3v with the stock cooler? Currntly with stock 1.2v I get 52c Idle and 63c Load. That's at 575/770. I really don't want to spend another $80 on 2 zalman VF900s for my 7900 GT SLI setup. And I hear 70c Load is pretty safe so do you think I can get away with it?

I fixed the title.. it made it sound like it was emulation. Still, won't game developers specifically have to support Mac graphics cards and drivers for them to work well?

Has anyone tried any games on it yet? Do graphics drivers work well with games? How's the performance?

Ideally I'd want to have the OEM package sealed, so I can sell it at max price. (I plan to sell the x1900xt OR the 7800 GT SLIs) Anything pointing to the X1900XT performing better than my setup would be encouraging :)

I run Oblivion with 7800 GT SLIs at 1920x1200 @ 45-60 indoors and 35+ outdoors, all high except actor/tree/object distance, full grass, with all the ini/driver tweaks suggested in the elder scrolls forums. I happen to have an X1900XT (long story), so I was wondering which would perform better.

It seems that whenever I overclock my BFG 7800 GT OC (a mere 50 MHz, 425 to 475), check "apply these settings at startup", press apply, and restart, it reverts back to 425 MHz. Is this because the driver thinks 475 MHz is not "optimal"? The optimal speeds that it detects is actually 500/1.15...

My bad. As you can see I'm not very experienced.

Why would I use the GPU lead for HDD also? PSU had dedicated leads for GPUs. But no, I didn't try this. I tried an Antec NeoHE 550 with bare minimum power connected and didn't work, so I really doubt its the PSU.

Update on this problem: I went ahead and got the 7800 GT SLI. It works, as I was sure it would. I still can't figure out why the x1900xt won't work in the mobo. But given this horrible experience, I doubt I'll ever get an ATI card again... I've always preferred the geforces, but this time...

Yeah, it was the X1900XT (referring to another topic of mine). I still can't figure out WHY that card won't work in this mobo though... Back to topic--In what case would you download the AMD version?

I installed the newest drivers for the 7800GTs I'm running in SLI, and also the nf4 drivers for the mobo. After the updates I get 6300 instead of 6900. Isn't this very low for SLI? I get horrible scores in CPU tests too.. barely 1 fps. I installed the amd/intel x16? version for the nf4...
