    DVD Recorder Strange Behaviour

We use Infrarecorder as CD/DVD authoring software and neither it nor the Windows authoring work when logged in as the users. Both Windows and Intrarecorder performed without issue while logged in as a local administrator or domain administrator. We have even attempted to add one of the users...

    DVD Recorder Strange Behaviour

 We recently purchased six new Fujitsu Lifebook E8410s running Windows XP Professional with HL-DT-ST DVDRAM_GSA-T20N optical drives. After deploying them to users, we began to receive complaints regarding the ability to burn CDs or DVDs. We visited each workstation to verify this...

High end timex less than $20.

Thanks DeeTees. My Seiko Kinetic just stopped holding a charge and I had to send it in for repair. They said that is could be up to a month before I receive it back. One of these will make a nice replacement until I can receive my Seiko back.

    IRQ Question on Gigabyte 7VRXP

Thanks. I have built some systems using SuperMicro dual processor boards that had 32 IRQs, but I had never seen anything like this in the past.

    IRQ Question on Gigabyte 7VRXP

I just noticed today that my Gigabyte 7VRXP is claiming to have 129 IRQs under Device Manager in Windows XP Professional. The IRQs start with the System Timer on 0 and the last device is my Radeon 8500 on IRQ 128. I really like the idea of having this many IRQs, but how is this possible?

Building server for a high school

I agree that a name brand server is a better alternative, especially when uptime is critical, due to the maintenance contracts and warranties available. If you are set on building, I also recommend Supermicro boards. A nice Supermicro board and a couple Tualatins will do about anything that you...

Do you wish you still had your old computer for Nostalga sake?

My first was an Atari XEGS. I can remember programming BASIC late into the night. It's hard to believe that was 15 years ago. If I remember correctly, that PC is still in my grandparent's attic.

    too much burning

Unless the drive uses IBM technology, you should be fine. :) Sorry... I couldn't resist.

Advice: Best video card for under $150 CDN.

I vote for the Radeon 32MB DDR or a Radeon 7500 if you can get this within your price range. If you can find a Radeon 8500 for that price, it would be a much better solution but with a budget of roughly 100 american dollars, that is not likely.

The Infinite Loop Bug Isn't nVidia's Fault.

If it were a power issue, I do not understand why this did not follow me to Windows 2000. My configuration has not changed in quite some time and I have been using an Enermax 430 watt PS for almost a year. In some cases where this is an issue with all OSs it may indeed be power related. In my...

The Infinite Loop Bug Isn't nVidia's Fault.

I had this infinite loop error with Windows XP Pro and my old Geforce 2 Pro 64 MB. I replaced it with a Geforce 2 GTS 32 MB and continued to get the error. I then purchased a Radeon 8500 and still the infinite loop errors. I decided to reformat and reinstall XP. After the final reboot into...

Original M*A*S*H Movie -$14.99 Outpost Preorder

I just received an email from Fry's/Outpost that shows the M*A*S*H DVD preorder for only 14.99. The cheapest price at www.dvdpricesearch.com is $17.57. IMHO, this is a great price for a great movie. M*A*S*H
