Im trying to develop and improve my technical skills in Microsoft and hardware need some help on how to do this.

/dev/hd?? for partitions usually goes by /dev/hd(hardrive a,b,c,d) (parition number 0,1,2,3,4,5...) thats all folks.
so /dev/hda0 is probably your window partition you can mount that also.
and so forth.
very simple your hard drive contains a very small partition that keeps the boot sectors in it its called a Master Boot Record (MBR).
when u install linux most of time it installs Grub i think, or Lilo in that table (MBR) depends what you want this permites you to choose wha tyou want to load...
ye make it in windows, the partition i mean, and just set a mount point on startup read up on that...
i really am not formilure with onstart mount points should not be more then a few lines of code.
have you worked with linux before, they are all seperate, /home directory has all users folders, u can retrict the access to higher levels of the drive... and it does that by default, plus it restricts installs for users and you can only install when ur in root.
personally i would want to tell you to dump the /usr partition and just have a "sfv" for boot and a "swap" - should be more or equal to the size of your memory then also your fat partition... but that irrelavent you can just not make the fat partition till later just leave space and just make it...
"i" is to insert
"o" is start new line and insert
"a" is to start from point.
after you run one of these u need to press esc to exit mode.
"/yoursearch" is to search certain string.

O and when u search "n" goes to next instance of the string in the file, also it wraps arround so u might...
