i guess for me, I live in los angeles, and motortrend's office is down here... so their reviews tend to be more relevant. I also think car and driver either beats on cars, or has irrationally low 0-60 times as they always seem to have the lowest times, so I don't quite trust them as much.

yes agree. the gt86 is only slightly more a ae86 than the new bmw supra is a supra. I guess at least on the gt86 toyota contributed some direct injection and heads..

Depends how much you drive but i'd generally agree. If you are going to lease and drive say 30k miles total, you probably shouldn't. If you have a car with a dual clutch definitely get it (I think the v6 a6 will have a DSG). The dual clutch maintenance alone costs about 80% of the total...
