I recently downloaded and flashed to the BIOS REV.1010 for the TUSL2-C.
The voltage adjustments which were made available were to high for my liking, minimum of 1.60 volts.
I flashed back to REV.1009 because my temps went up some 10 degrees C..
Anyone know if the Tualatin can take V-Core that...
I recently flashed the bios on my TUSL2-C to the latest Revision 1010 which gave me V-Core voltage options for the Tualatin. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the lowest voltage option went to 1.70 volts from the previous 1.45 volts.
I'm using the stock retail fan and don't over-clock, but...

The Asus TUSL2 supports both PIII CuMine and the PIII Tualatin. CUSL2 will only support PIII CuMine. While the socket 370 is the same, certain pins on the TUSL2 effect the detection and voltage for the Tualatin chip.
I own both and both are stable and reliable in all respects. If you are...
While I don't use a P4, I do have experience with Asus boards, and if the P4T is like other Asus boards, you won't go wrong with this one. You'll find Asus highly reliable well designed and stable. Good luck to you!
No the CUSL2-C will not support the Tualatin; different core voltage.
No more Coppermine Pentium III's will be produced. All Pentium III's will be Tualatin in the future. The 1.13 and 1.2GHz Pentium III's are Tualatin as is the 1.26GHz.
Asus P4T would be the board for the P4 using the I850 chipset. The downside, is that RDRAM is still quite expensive. I'm not sure if Asus has or will soon release a board for the P4 using DDR Ram.
Just checked Price Watch for RDRAM and it will be about $154 plus shipping for 256Meg. Not as...
Did you check hardware set-up CPU External Frequency Settings on the board (DSW)? All dip switch settings must be off for jumperfree mode.
Could cause your problem.
Haven't experienced any problems playing audio CD's. I do however use
Siren Jukebox and Media Jukebox mostly. Don't think it's a driver issue. Are you over-clocking anything?
Your settings sound like mine.
The SBLive Value card in my system works fine with the exception of when I tried to install a network card. Beautiful sound. Disabled the SB-16 Emulation driver installed the network card and system would not recognize the network card no matter what PCI slot I tried. Tested Netgear, Linksys...
Check out prices on the HP 970Cse at www.pricewatch.com. I've seen them for $299.00. Top notch text quality and excellent color on just 20 pound bond paper. On photo paper you can hardly tell from a top quality photo developer. I wouldn't trade mine for the price.
