Has anybody tried installing Windows 7 alongside a preinstalled Windows 10 in order to have dual-booting? As we did with Vista and Windows 8.

You can use the free MiniTool Partition Wizard which will correct the alignment on partitions which are not aligned.

I have an ASUS P5Q3 MB and a Samsung 840 Pro SSD (256 GB) running under XP/W7 (dual boot). I'm now polishing up the XP environment. Everything runs fine when in RAID mode, without RAID actually being active. BSOD when I switch to AHCI. Exactly the same thing occurred with classical SATA disks...
