My friend is having the same problem.... i've tried everything :-( he has a Tyan S1854 Mobo and p3 667mhz and a sony CDRW 12x8x32 .. its very annoying he changed the PS and still same problem... maybe its a chipset problem?

I'm having a problem with my sound. I'm using the AC97 sound on my Epox 8k7a+ mobo, 1.2 ghz, 40 gig maxtor. Everytime my computer accesses HD or CD-Rom, My mouse "skips" and my audio breaks up when playing a song... what could be the problem? it's really annoying.. Thanks in advance.
