You can get a 65nm card. They consume less power and produce less heat. If the fan is just too loud, you can always put a Thermalright HR-3 series on it. With low and mid end cards, you shouldn't need a fan to cool it.

Does that mean if I switch the DVI mode to "HD", instead of "PC", I can use aspect scaling to scale my 4:3 games? BTW, I am using an ATI card now.
I am using X1950XT,too. It's good for most games out there now. With this card, I can set at least half of the effects in STALKER to mid or high on 1280X1024 and still have decent FPS( I overclocked it though). But be careful with ATI's image scaling.
I am gonna get a 20WMGX2 if any 1 can confirm it. Since I am gonna play lots of 4:3 games on my PC, so fixed aspect ratio scaling is really important. BTW, the user manual says "expansion" is only available under DVI-HD, what does that mean?
