The FX8350 is still a very good CPU. Benchmark of 5900. Not a gaming CPU, but still compares to basic modern laptop.. 3000g is worse and had a lower benchmark score. Weird. But I agree that if I was doing rendering on a daily basis, I would have upgraded long ago. What are you considering...
