it's not a looping sound but an actual freezing of a certain noise that is random (or from part of the game where it happens to freeze but i don't belive that since most of the times it is a high pitch ring or squeel. but it is most certainly not looping
i think it's my sound card, i just disabled my sound card through the hardware managment console in the control panel and when i ran bf2 again it did not freeze.

I put a bid on for a motherboard that was partially broken, the owner tried flashing the bios but messed that up hehe. however other than that he just said one of the transistors smelled a little burnt.
