i'd remove it from device manager and reboot, maybe it will reinstall the propper drivers correctly.. disable autoprotect on your antivirus software before doing so (if this applies) because a/v software running in the background while installing drivers can cause drivers to be installed...
have you tried just using "system managed size" ?? or are you making it a permanent size?
i'd suggest trying to let windows manage it.
also, in folder options do you have "hide protected OS system files" unticked? and show hidden files and folders ticked? (otherwise you wont see the pagefile...
