You need two hard drives for striping. I believe that is where a block of data is written on one hard drive, then the next block is wrtten on the second hard drive. This allows for faster read access.

Contrast is the ratio between black and white colors.
For example 500:1 would have a high contrast ratio than 400:1.
Thus 500:1 would be the better choice.
There could be a bios update for the motherboard. You might also want to fdisk the drive. Some one might of set only one partition to be 2 gig leaving the 18 gig unallocated.

That company is suck. I order an abit motherboard from them and it came DOA. I sent it back and they sent me the exact same board back, saying it worked. I had my friend looked over it, and he solder some lose capactors back onto the board, and then it worked ok. Never buy from them.
