The computer is not for gaming. I am convinced now that I do not need the nVidia Titan X. I'll start looking at component prices on the internet and at Microcenter (I have one nearby).
Thanks for the link above. There is even a newer test with the Titan X (Pascal) and the conclusions are similar. the GTX 1080 is a s good.

I guess I don't need the Titan X for what I do. The GTX...
I guessed it will seem an overkill for a lot of people. I usually buy or build on the high end so as not to keep upgrading components every year or so. I know virtual reality is coming and I need to be ready.
Another one of those threads (and I read a lot of them).
I need to build or buy a new PC and need help as things are moving fast in the CPU/GPU departments.

That is bad news. I did take down one network outlet and the cable was a blue Belden Data twist Category 5 E108998. I wonder how hard it is to pull them out and exchange them to Cat 6.

The EVO 840 SSD has the latest firmware and working fine.
I have the latest Norton 360 antivirus and Malwarebytes running constantly and there are no viruses or malware detected.
It is a possibility that something else is slowing the computer. In Windows 7 there used to be Performance Index test with a score. What can I run in Windows 10 Pro to tell me if the graphics card is the bottleneck?

It is not my kids who are complaining (they have their own Xbox 1 for gaming). It is my wife. She feels the computer is slowing down and taking longer to load videos or browse the internet. That's the rationale. The HD5800 is not broken. Just need to speed things up and don't...
