i agree. i just got auo to replace my samsung. both are rev a00 and both ghost under normal desktop use. the colors are great, but the ghosting kills it for me. buyer beware.
get one of the fortron's with a 120mm fan that slows down based on temp. i do not have time to look up the model number, but i paid $27 for one about a year ago. no problems, relatively quiet.
i just got home and found out i have an a00 revision. from the start, i installed the latest drivers downloaded from dell and set the res at 1280 x 1024. i am mildy disappointed with the ghosting, but this is my first lcd. maybe i'll get accustomed to it.
can a few more people respond with...
i set mine up last night and was also disappointed by the ghosting. i knew it would be a problem for gamers, but i do not play games. i was seeing ghosting during normal desktop use. maybe i'm just too quick. off to check what revision i have.
i'm not rely worried about cooling. i am try to keep the total heat generation of the system low. the tbred core at 1600 mhz generates about 48 watts (link). i would like to get that down to about 1/3 or 16 watts. i assume heat generation is linear wrt clock speed so i would need to clock at...
i am trying to find a lower power solution for a mythtv backend. i don't want to go with an epia board becase one pci slot doesn't cut it. the $50 fry's combo (ecs k7vta3/duron 1.6) looks tempting. i googled but couldn't find any info for multiplier control on this board. if it does exist...

i have the dynatron DY1206BH-610 link with the 60x60x10 fan option. it's mounted on an xp1600, matx asus nforce, in a fong kai fk-611l link.
the fan noise is unbearable. it's rated at 24.4 cfm af 40 dba. i have some 92 mm fans (~37.5 cfm at 25 db, ~47.2 cfm at 27 db) that i planned to mount...
i order a fong kai kai fk-611l from directron. their website (link) states the case has an enhance 300W power supply, Model No. 1125BTA. the unit i received has a wintech 300w, model no. win-300ps. i did some searching and could not find any info on wintech. is wintech junk?
