ok this is what im getting i made a final descion a XFX 7800GT AMD Athlon 64 3200 Chaintech VNF4 Motherboard which is a grand total of $524.99, i already got the 1gig ram and a 400watt power supply

oh and btw if i do get a x850xt pe will it be as fast even tho my cpu isnt that great?

i have seen alot of reviews and the x850xt pe destroys the 6800ultra

i answered most of your questions with the post above but i am totally fine playing games at less than high settings.

i play FEAR, NFS Most Wanted, and Quake 4 I found the X850XT PE for around $350 Right now i got P4 2.6ghz 1gig of ram 9600pro if the cost of a new motherboard and new video card is around $400 then ill do it

well i have the money to get a x850xt pe but i was wondering if i buy it now how long will it last. like will i be able to play games 6months from now? the problem is i dont have a pci-e 16x, so i cant buy a 7800gt or a X1800XL. Should i save up for a pcie board? or go for the x850xt pe
