After more testing, i found that i could boot with one stick, force my memory timings to be 2.5-3-3-6 and then put in the 2nd stick and things worked out ok. When i upgraded to the 7/29 korean beta bios, it forced my memory to run at 333 MHz or lower, and sometimes recognized only one stick.

I just got a VNF-250, and when i put in 2 double-sided sticks of Crucial XMS3200 CMX512-3200C2, it refuses to boot at all. It just sits there with a blank screen and beeps. I've tried them in slots 1-2 and 1-3, as well as trying each stick by itself. Either stick will work, but not both together.
