When are they coming out and what are the specs?

How do hardware websites like Anandtech get their hardware that they test? Do the companies send it to them? Do they buy all the hardware? If the companies send it to them what kind of requirements are needed to get the hardware?

Since you've installed WinXP RC2 have you suffered any major problems? Or does it run like a very stable OS like Win2K? Would you say that it is fit to be your number one OS right now? I'm wondering of going with XP RC2 and ditching Windows 2000...should I?

I don't know if I should post this here or in the hardware board...but whatever... I'm going to sell my Asus CUSL2-C motherboard and buy a "Black Pearl" CUSL2-C because it looks cool. Now, since they are basically the same mobos, will I have to reinstall Windows if I get the Black Pearl?

Out of the cards you mentioned, get the Visiontek. But all GeForce3 based cards perform virtually the same, you'd get excellent performance from no matter what card of any brand name you get.

No, it just started doing that when I was playing Diablo II, and it rebooted all of a sudden. I'm pretty sure the hard drive died then. I know clicking and grinding, and these aren't normal clicking and grinding. This is an old HD BTW, 6GB Western Digital. It's not even mine, it is my friends...

My hard drive is making clicking and grinding sounds which are louder than normal and sound like they're damaging the drive. What are signs of hard drive failure? Are these some of them? Also, when I boot up it says "Disk error, Press any key to restart". Thanks

Maybe the way I phrased it it was confusing. I meant that if you clean-out-full-format your drive many times does this have any wear and tear on HD platters or anything like that?
