Strange...my computer is making worrysome noises! Like "Chatter chatter...click click" and "Vrrrrrrrrrrr". Where are they coming from???
...oh...
Now that there is no more WBK38 on my CPU with the fan trying to compete with the Airport across the street (and Winning!) I...
Now, just to show you that I have too much time on my hands I would like to post what I am seeing and find out if others have noticed the same "strangeness" with their systems...
I replaced an MSI Pro 2-A motherboard with their K7T Turbo (due to a flash error) and moved all of the...
Nerdwannabe,
I guess it went through its phase change as what was on the T-Bird core was more like a smudge except one corner...the rest had melted over the side of the core. Where they had placed the compound was not centered on the core though. But the core just managed to get covered by...
Gads! I just scraped that stuff off of my T-bird and Global Win WBK 38 and nothing was doing the job until I tried a bottle of Ronsonal Lighter fluid. Put a bit on a Q-Tip and it came right off. My last girlfriend was a smoker and I traded her away for some heavy duty 120mm ac fans. That...
If I have read everything you wrote correctly I can offer only one idea (and the reason I even mention it)...
Even though your inside case temp (or was it CPU) didn't go above 40C you may want to prop a large desktop fan pointed at your motherboard (on at high speed) and see if you still have...

I have the k6-2 550 on an asus p5a-b board and watercooled it runs 47c (117F) in a room with the temp sitting at 78F. The heatsink I had for it kept it at about 51C. And the system is stable...no heat related problems.
From all of the other posts here and at other sites (ohmygosh! can I say...
I too have built my own system from scratch...the need for quiet downloading while sleeping was just too great! It doesn't cost THAT much of course once someone else has done all the experimenting for you, unless you are like me and need to play..er, Experiment yourself.
I have not seen anyone...
And,if you like, the reservoir looks like one of the PVC outdoor electical boxes you can get at a good hardware store for around 7 bucks. Drill a few holes add the 3/8 inch barb hose connectors and drill the hole for the 120v ac line for the pump(s) and you are there. 7 bucks for tank and...
