Trying to set up Inspiron 1100 for $699 as Rasputinj posted but cannot get there. Could someone please post the exact configuration because I cannot get it under $1000. Sorry to be such a thick head :( Thank you.

I too burned with Memorex DVD +R (using Shrink and Nero); thanks to my own stupidity the very first one was a nice coaster :) but since then everything is good. Hope you have a better luck with your next burner.

Thanks for all replies. CompUSA and Best Buy have been overrun with flat panels lol. I found one Viewsonic and one Samsung 955. I will give it some more thought and probably wait if anything goes on sale after christmas.
