That's what I needed to hear.
My 750GB SATA HD went down a few days ago with unrecoverable errors. I could only get back into it with my other (ide) drive - which did an auto chkdsk /f to find bad blocks, etc. I had to reformat the drive eventually.
I have an Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 mb with a 2.4 cpu
I set the CPU in the bios from auto to manual. Then it allowed me to change the speed from default of 266.
I changed it 300. And now my cpu speed went from 2.34 to 2.71
Its running very good (without crashing) except for one problem...
