    RAID 0 with XP

I was hitting F6 on time. Here is what I found. I finally used the ASUS installation CDROM's feature that makes the RAID driver floppy for you. WINXP was able to pull the drivers off it no problem at all. However the installation process after every first restart would simply start over...

    RAID 0 with XP

Yes, the drivers are correct. Taken from the motherboard installation CDROM. The biggest problem was getting XP to even start loading in the first place after getting the NO FIXED DRIVES message. Since it didn't find anywhere to install itself to begin with it would abort installation. Crucifier

    RAID 0 with XP

Set up: ASUS A7V266E RAID. IBM 75 GXP 40 gig ata 100 drives.... uh really that is about all that is concerned with this I guess. Problem: Setting up RAID 0 and attempting to install XP...get nowhere...Error message says no fixed drives..end of story. Since you must format both drives and...

    Problems with 8500

Look for Detonator Destroyer Utility. It is available at many Hardware and Overclocker sites for free download. It removes all Detonator drivers from your system so you can have a clean start at next install of whatever card you put in.

radeon 8500 now or wati for geforce 4 ti 4200?

<< Nope, the 128MB Radeon 8500 has virtually no noticable speed difference whatsoever from the 64 MB >> The fact of whether the Radeon 128 meg was faster was not an issue. The core runs the same speed as the GF4 Ti 4400 at 275, the ramdac faster at 400 (GF4 ti at 350) and the memory at last...

    Radeon 8500 128 meg version

Is anyone out there running the new Radeon 8500 128 meg version? I am considering buying one and wondering how it performs and how well you like it. I am guessing it falls in above the GF4 Ti 4200 and right about at the GF4 Ti 4400 in ability. Crucifier

radeon 8500 now or wati for geforce 4 ti 4200?

You should also realize that the Radeon 8500 now comes in a 128 meg DDR flavor rather than the 64 meg DDR version that did quite well for itself. Based on the average of the many reviews I have read the 64 meg version equalled the GF3 Ti 500 in about a third of the test, beat it in another...

    ASUS A7V266E Jumper question

While setting the jumpers on my new board I notice this jumper called THEMCPU dead next to the Palomino or Athlon/Duron jumper block. Further reading says pins 1 and 2 for Athlon/Duron and pins 2 and 3 for RESERVED cpu. Does anyone have any clue what RESERVED cpu is? Is this yet another...

Talk about stress! Shopping for a new motherboard nowadays for an Anthlon XP can make your hair turn gray! I am not asking for folks to tell me what motherboard to buy, but I am asking for people's personal experience on the ASUS A7V266E RAID, Soyo Dragon Plus RAID and Abit KR7A133 RAID. I...
