    If you are located near microcenter you can get a great deal on i3-3225 and Mobo combo. You can also look at Gigabyte Z77 mini-ITX Mobo. Your parts list is good enough- my personal preference for cases are Silverstone or Lian Li.

    In case you want bluray playback- recommend BDROM/DVD-RW instead. Since you are using m-atx Mobo, maybe you can opt for a smaller case as well?

    I have seen cards only for OTA and Cable but not satellite. For OTA you have many choices including HD Homerun which involved just ethernet connectvity to your router and you are in business recording on your PC.

    AMD A10, A8 is good enough. You can get Corsair CX430 for ~$17 (promo price at NewEgg). You can opt for RAM @1600 so that will save you few more $$.

    You can reduce the scope...go for mATX/ITX Mobo and opt for a smaller case like silverstone ML03.

    If you want to use this primarily for HT/video playback then why not get A10 5700 (or 5800K if you want to overclock and higher power) and FM2 ITX Mobo and you are all set with rest of the components you listed. Curious to hear you/other's feedback.

    Tivo alternatives

    2 options 1. Get a used TivoHD with lifetime on ebay (<$350) for HD -capable of receiving OTA HD as well. You can upgrade hard drive, and sell your existing Tivo. 2. Use HD Home run prime with Win 7 PC (~$140+$300). Plan for integrating into NAS or ext drive (2-4TB) $0.02 Regards, Kishore

    HDCP issues

    What is the graphics card and bluray SW playback you are using? I am assuming this is a settings issue (bitstream/decde, default set for 2 Ch?)

    Ceton infiniTV4: Opinions?

    The Ceton PCI tuner card worked fine in my HTPC BUT I prefer an external box and leave heat outside my PC. I am leaning towards HD HOmerun Prime since they are discounted well unlike Ceton. YMMV

    I see that Bitfenix Prodigy is a very good performer as well :-)
