ok, i have an unlocked 1200mhz t-bird running on an abit kt7 non-raid. i set the cpu operating speed to user define and the multipier will not go above 12.5. please let me knnow what to do. just found out today that my t-bird was unlocked. Came from the factory that way. wierd

i do have extra cooling and have found it necassary to over clock you video card. i have a 120mm fan cut into the side panel which blows on the expansion cards and the processor. a little loud but works really well.

i was just reading the installation instructions at IBM and they said the it totaly does not matter how the drive is orientated and that my problem is probably due to a blocked breath hole. Learn something new every day. thanks all.

it is not in a bay. it is inside a full size addtronics case mounted on some rails right in the middle of the case.

Does it matter what position your hard drive is in. i have an ibm deskstar that over heats quiet often. it is mounted in such a way that i can not put a cooler on the metal face on top.. Will the drive still work correctly if i flip it over so that it is up side down??
