Hi all. To make a long story short. I am attempting to upgrade my PC. Been doining so for a week and 1/2. I took out the old stuff, (P3B-F, P3-800, R8500). Installed the new stuff, (P4T-E, P4-2.2, R8500). Fired up PC, nothing worked exept the cpu and case fans. Took out new stuff, put old stuff...

Its me again. Still tryin to get my upgrades installed and working. The first time i tried, PC wouldnt boot. Fans worked, lights worked but wouldnt boot nor would my monitor get a video signal. I think from what i gather, thru posting here, and the Intel website, my problem was with the power...

Just wanted to also and, that, when i did start it up with all the new stuff in case, all fans ran and the HD spun up but the PC wouldnt boot up and the monitor wouldnt come on. CK

Sounds good, Guess ill order one of the P4 power supplies and try to reinstall everything next weekend. Hopefully the PS was my problem and i will have better luck with a new PS. Do you think i did any damage to my P4T, mem or cpu by using my old PS when i fired it up for the first time...

As far as i could tell, i put everything together the right way. I took my time and did everything by the book (manuall). Doesnt seem to to much one can mess up, it was all a matter of plugging things in the right place, im sure all that was done correct. No, my PS does not have one of those 4...

Will i be able to do a FULL install of Win XP using the 99 dollar upgrade? As you can do with the win 95/win 98/win ME upgrades. Or will i have to buy the FULL retail version of XP @ 199 $. THX...........CK
