Hi,
I'm experiencing the following problem: I turn on my computer and 2 seconds later it beeps and turns out again. I repeat this for about 20 times and suddenly it works without any problem (not one single crash). When I turn the system off and turn it on again after a few minutes it also boots...
I have an Aopen Aelous Ti4200. My problem: nView doesn't even recognize my TV.
I'm connecting to the TV via S-VHS (with the help of an extension cable) and a Scart Adapter. The TV is turned on - but nView just don't recognize it. The most important thing: The connection IS working, it works...
I've read several post about different cores in the Ti4200 cards, namely the A1, A2 or A3 core - probably a later revision core would be better for the card. My question: How can I find out which core is in my card? I own an Aopen Aeolus Ti4200. Thank for the help!
I think I would choose the 8500 - it's not exactly as fast as the Ti4200 but I love the Video Out of this card! But if you're not planning to use this feature - stick with the Ti4200.
Aopen makes the promise that their Aeolus Ti4200 will run on 500Mhz memory speed - but only after a bios update they will provide soon. I know you can update a graphic card bios, but does anybody know if you can update the Aeolus bios as well? Thanks for any help you can give, right now I'm not...
Thanks for the help, I've finally received an email from aopen: They suggested to look into the card's FAQ ;).
After all I think I can trust into Aopen.
I'm going to buy a Ti4200 and think it will be the Aeolus. My question: Does anyone know if its memory runs with 446 or 500Mhz? I've read different posts about this, some say it's the only 128MB card that runs 500Mhz, some say it's currently running with 446 Mhz but Aopen will publish a bios...
ELSA has declared insolvence, they had some serious managment problems...
If you want to know more about it take a look at this article:

I think you should consider that your CPU is the limiting factor. Just take a look at the CPU scaling Anand made:
Sub -200$ Video Card Roundup
Sadly there is no scaling for the 3D Benchmark, but in Quake III a 800 Mhz CPU looses nearly 50 (!!) Frames compared to a 1200 Mhz.
