I have one. Got it about a week before Christmas, signed up a few days after they first announced the pilot program.
It has pretty much replaced my netbook for home and school. I think I've used my netbook once since getting the cr48.
Just another voice to echo what everyone else has said, don't do it. Move closer if you at all can or you'll hate your life for at least 3-4 hours a day.
I live 6 blocks away from 405 off the Santa Monica Blvd exit. Luckily I'm still a student and don't have a regular commute to make (yet)...
Just got mine today. As everyone else has said, it just shows up with no warning whatsoever. I had no idea what it was when I received the package and I thought it was a present that someone had bought and shipped to me at first. Opened it up and still had no idea what it was because I hadn't...
I was in the same boat. Renting in an apartment but I wanted a TV stand with a mount that would float the TV and let me put a center channel on the highest shelf.
I ended up with this from Costco when they were running a $60 off coupon on it a few months ago. At the time I was also looking at...
I bought my P50G25 two months ago and it's been nothing but absolutely stunning. My only regret if any is not getting the 54".
For what it's worth, cnet called the G20/G25 the Best TV picture quality for the dollar. I don't usually put too much stock into what cnet says but I find it hard not...
Yeah, the three of us that live in the apartment are pretty skinny so we manage to squeeze through without trouble. The TV is on a swivel mount that gives us a little more clearance when necessary. The only time I recall moving the speaker was for initially loading up the storage bin outside...
I get DD 5.1 through my G25's optical out when using the internal tuner with OTA broadcasts. But for Netflix you're right, it's definitely only 2 channel stereo.
It's not really an option I'm afraid. That's where the sliding door to the balcony opens up from and we store stuff out there so we need to be able to access it regularly.
Where else would you suggest? Unfortunately it's too tall to fit inside either shelf of the TV stand, and there's nowhere else to put it anywhere along that front sound stage portion of the room.
It may or may not be shielded, I never definitively found out either way. But it hasn't seemed to...
Thought I'd add to this thread now that I'm finally at a point where I feel satisfied with everything. All that really means is the incessant tweaker in me no longer feels the need to change something every other day, maybe just once or twice a week instead. :P

Just pulled the trigger on a 50" G25 from Amazon for $993. It was between that or a 54" S2 for ~150 more. In the end I guess I value image quality more. I didn't want to get the S2 and end up wondering how much better the picture could've/would've looked.
Yeah everything I've read says the 48hz mode on the G20/25 introduces flicker to the point of being pretty much unwatchable. Leaving it in normal 60hz mode would use the set's 3:2 pulldown. 24fps content seems to do pretty well with that, or at least as well as 3:2 pulldown can do. Judder is...
I've been trying to figure out the same thing over the past two weeks. It's a little harder for me though because I'm trying to decide between a 50" G25 or 54" S2 at an 8ft seating distance, so size is an additional variable.
I feel like I've read every review there is for both sets and I've...
