I am running win xp and it says 1700+mp on the system registration.

Is there any significant difference between these two cpus? I bought a retail version. It's printed on the box as a 1700+xp but its actually a 1700+mp. Should I return it?

I am debating which monitor to buy. I narrowed it down to the NEC 750 or the Samsung 700NF. Which do you think is a better monitor? Thanks.

Thanks to all who replied. Found solution on Symantec website. Boot to dos and restored backup registry. Computer working fine.
