Thank you all very much.
I downloaded and installed RefreshLock and still had problems with my refresh rate. With my refresh rate set to 85Hz my monitor, an Iiyama Vision Master 450 19" crt, and the Display Properties Monitor tab still said 75Hz. I changed my refresh rate to 100Hz and still had...
Hey!
I just purchased and installed the ATi Radeon 8500 128MB model also. I gave my old Radeon 32MB DDR model to my brother-in-law for his new PC. For me 2D image quality and DVD playback is just as important as 3D frame rates. I only have one problem, the 60Hz refresh rate mess with WindowsXP...
The Giga-byte GA-7DXR+ using the AMD 761 northbridge and VIA 686b southbridge has AGP Pro, RAID (133), onboard sound and USB 2.0 support. From what I have read it is a good board. The chipset is older now but still fast and stable.
VBboy,
I do have Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and it does look good. But it doesn't look realistic enough. There are still the sharp and jagged edges on nearly all models and alot of the textures look like, well, textures. Granted, RtoCW is a damn good game and it is light years from the...
As far as I know you should have the WAN IP Address configured as "Obtain an IP Address Automatically". That said it doesn't matter if the "Specify an IP Address" portion says "0.0.0.0", because you are no longer using a static or fixed IP. You will probably need to have "PPPoE" and "DHCP"...
I agree, can anyone tell the difference between 141 fps and 218 fps? I can't. I'll take greater visual quality and lower frame rates anyday, as long as those frame rates stay above 60 or so. Increasing the resolution helps. Enabling FSAA (or what ever) also helps. But, I would like to see some...
It does if you use a IDE controller card in it.;) I really don't know about native support of large hard drives though. But, even if a recent BIOS upgrade would or has enabled large hard drive support, it's not going to be ATA100 or ATA133 compliant. The original 440BX IDE controller only...
I helped a friend build a P-4 and Rambus combo with an Intel motherboard with simular results. It ended up being that all four RIMMs were not identical. All four were Samsung, two blue in color and two silver in color. They had the same basic specs, but on the Intel web site one of the sets were...
Why don't you just buy an add in IDE controller card like a Promise Ultra100 and set all of your devices up as masters? Assuming of course that you have an open PCI slot. That's what I did, but I also have an IDE DVD drive in the mix.
I'm still running a 800MHz P!!! on an ASUS P3B-F. Rock solid. I've had no problems what so ever. I know stability can very from board to board within a series, but with the 440BX chipset it was hard to make a board that was to far out of wack. Plus it doesn't have any value added stuff to get...
Wouldn't you know it. My first posting on AnandTech and it's a reply on what razor I use to shave with. Oh well. I have been using the original Gillette Sensor (not Excel) for years. I love it! That is if it's possible to love a razor. I just recently purchased the Gillette Mach3 because the old...
