The whole HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software portion of the registry must be given either modify or full permissions, at least thats what we've found with our machines at school. It may differ with Nero, but thats how we solved it for EZCD creator 3.5c

Its in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software (At least with EZCD Creater 3.5), just modifying the permissions on the adaptec portion of the registry did not work. We had this same problem at school. I don't remember what the exact permissions are, and I'm at home now, so you'll have to experiment a...
