    E8400 & IP35 Core Voltage Issues

Ok finally got round to trying Everest and Abit uGuru (couldn't find abitEQ). Everest looks like it's displaying the correct voltage (it's fluxuating between 1.112 and 1.120 when idle and sticks to 1.176 at load rather than just saying 1.225 all the time), but when I change the setting in the...

    E8400 & IP35 Core Voltage Issues

C1E and EIST are both disabled. I'm also using the latest BIOS. Actually RMA'ed a board because it was turning itself on and off before I realised that the board wasn't officially compatible with the 45nm processors . Had to nick an E4300 from work so I could flash the BIOS. I'll try...

    E8400 & IP35 Core Voltage Issues

No such luck :( I found one in CPU Features called Thermal Control and disabled that but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Can't really see anything else in the BIOS that resembles these.

    E8400 & IP35 Core Voltage Issues

    New Gaming Rig

Very true. Good advice, thanks man. Had a little look on overclockers and even if I buy a 1TB F1 drive I still save about £20! Might even be able to juggle it around and get myself a 9800GTX. Will have to read a few more reviews and find out where I can maximise the performance.

    New Gaming Rig

Really? I've always thought that there would be advantages in running two drives speed-wise. I heard once somewhere that if you stick the page file on a different drive to the OS then it would speed things up. I suppose it wouldn't make much real-world difference though come to think of it.

Philips SRM 5100 Vista Media Centre Remote

Does anyone own, or have any information on this remote for Windows Vista? Seems like it's pretty new so I can't find any proper reviews anywhere but it's definately something that I'd be interested in buying when I get Vista.
