mfenn: Thanks for taking the time. Depends on what you mean by "long-term final renders". I won't be really doing much pre-rendered stuff that would take hours.. 3D Studio Max/Maya stuff, rather I will be doing a lot of modeling with huge polygon counts, working with a lot of high-res textures...
